People from fashion industry speak up about Model Anam Tanoli’s suicide

Model Anam Tanoli's suicide has triggered a debate about depression, bullying and mental health. 

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 3rd September, 2018) Model and fashion designer Anam Tanoli attempted suicide on Saturday because of mental stress.

Her suicide has triggered a debate about depression, bullying and mental health.

Tanoli’s body was found hanging in a room at her Defence residence.

The model had recently returned from Italy. The police said that they were investigating the matter from all angles despite it appearing as a possible suicide.

A statement of her mother was also recorded by the police which said that the 26-year-old was under “mental stress”.

In her last video message going viral on social media, the model speaks up about bullying.

“Bullying is bad, don’t do it. It’s just a coward’s way out and it’s a pathetic way out,” she said.

“There are people who have been bullied in their own lives and they just try to take their misery out on other so don’t let it affect you, don’t let it bring you down,” Anam continued.

She went on to say, “If you see someone like that either try talking to them or just completely ignore them. They are not worth it. They are not worth your misery and quite frankly, they are more miserable inside.”

“Let’s just not go down that road and try to stop it if we can. If we have the power, we should change it,” she concluded.
