MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 03rd September, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent greetings to the participants and guests of the upcoming Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok, stressing that this event provides an important venue for direct dialogue between politicians, public figures and entrepreneurs.

"Over the years, the Forum has become an important and popular venue for face-to-face dialogue between politicians and public figures, business executives and experts. This year, delegations from more than 60 countries across the world will be taking part," Putin said in the telegram published by the Kremlin press service.

The fourth EEF will be held on September 11-13 in Russia's Far East. The main event of the forum will be the plenary session "The Russian Far East: Creating a New Reality" with Putin's participation.

"In order to support business initiatives in the Russian Far East, we have established advanced special economic zones that offer significant incentives to companies wishing to launch new production facilities. We have also created a port area with a special customs and tax regime, Vladivostok Free Port," the Russian president added.

According to Putin, the theme of the forum reflects Russia's aspiration to be more closely integrated into the economic network of the Asia-Pacific region.
