Russia Remains World's Top Oil Producer in June - Statistics

Russia kept its lead over Saudi Arabia and the United States in June by producing around 11.06 million barrels of oil per day, the official data showed on Friday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st August, 2018) Russia kept its lead over Saudi Arabia and the United States in June by producing around 11.06 million barrels of oil per day, the official data showed on Friday.

According to the statistics of the Russian Energy Ministry, in June, Russia produced over 45.29 million tonnes of oil, which means its daily output stood at around 11 million barrels.

The Monthly Crude Oil and Natural Gas Production data, released by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Friday showed that in June, the United States produced 10.67 million barrels a day.

Meanwhile, August's OPEC Monthly Oil Market Report showed that Saudi Arabia's output reached 10.44 million barrels that month.

Global oil output has recently been affected by the 2016 agreement between OPEC and non-OPEC states to cut production to stabilize global oil prices.
