An unidentified person injured two people with a knife on Friday at the Central Station in Amsterdam, however, the police officers have shot and detained the suspect, local police said.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st August, 2018) An unidentified person injured two people with a knife on Friday at the Central Station in Amsterdam, however, the police officers have shot and detained the suspect, local police said.
"A stabbing attack took place on Friday afternoon at the Central Station in Amsterdam. At least two people were injured. The police have shot the suspect. The suspect and the two casualties of the stabbing incident were transferred to a hospital for treatment," the police said in a statement.
The police added that the movement of trains was partially stopped, however, there are no plans to evacuate the station.
Local media reported citing witnesses that the incident had started with a fight between two people on the platform of the station. During the scuffle, one of the men took out a knife.
