Over 1,000 Top Security Decision Makers to Attend Int'l Counter-Terrorism Summit in Israel

Over 1,000 world leading defense and intelligence decision-makers, as well as prominent academic scholars and security industry executives from over 60 countries, will attend the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) 18th World Summit on Counter-Terrorism that will take place on September 3-6 in Israel's Herzliya, the organizers of the event said.

TEL AVIV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st August, 2018) Over 1,000 world leading defense and intelligence decision-makers, as well as prominent academic scholars and security industry executives from over 60 countries, will attend the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) 18th World Summit on Counter-Terrorism that will take place on September 3-6 in Israel's Herzliya, the organizers of the event said.

The first two days of the summit will be devoted plenary sessions, at which issues of global terrorist threats will be discussed. In the remaining two days, the participants will be divided into groups and conduct workshops on a number of issues, including cyberterrorism, the prevention of large-scale terrorist attacks at strategic sites, the radicalization of Islamic society, and the cooperation of states to counter terrorism.

The list of key speakers, in particular, includes Assistant Secretary General and Executive Director of the UN Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate Michele Coninsx, EU Counter-Terrorism Coordinator Gilles de Kerchove, former US State Deputy Secretary for Public Safety Michael Balboni, a number of Israeli ministers and others.

The ICT, the organizer of the event, is an independent Israeli think tank, which helps promoting international cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
