MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 30th August, 2018) A justice institution employee from the central German city of Dresden admitted on Thursday in an interview for the Bild newspaper that it was him who published online the arrest warrant for suspects in the recent killing in the German city of Chemnitz.

On Sunday, a 35-year-old German national was fatally stabbed in Chemnitz, which prompted several rallies in the city. On Wednesday, a two-page warrant leaked online, containing the Names of two suspects, an Iraqi national and a Syrian national, the witnesses and the victim, as well as some details of the crime and the possible motives of the suspects. The document was actively shared on social media. The police of Germany's Saxony said on Wednesday that investigation into the leak had been launched.

"I took a photo of the arrest warrant and shared it because I wanted truth and only truth to reach the attention of the public," 39-year-old Daniel Zabel told Bild.

He admitted that he had sent the photos capturing the warrant to the judicial bodies' employees, to the friends of the victim, and also to the members of the radical right-wing movement Pro Chemnitz, who then shared the text online.

"I didn't realize what consequences my actions would have. I should have at least painted over the names and the addresses of the alleged offenders," Zabel said.

According to the outlet, according to the German law, Zabel may face a fine or up to 5 years in prison over breach of the secrecy of investigation.
