Participants From 18 Countries to Attend Moscow Climate Forum in September - Organizer

Representatives of 18 countries and over 30 Russian regions will take part in the Second Climate Forum of Russian Cities, set to be held in Moscow on September 6-7, Anton Kulbachevsky, head of the Moscow City Government Department for Environmental Management and Protection, said on Thursday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 30th August, 2018) Representatives of 18 countries and over 30 Russian regions will take part in the Second Climate Forum of Russian Cities, set to be held in Moscow on September 6-7, Anton Kulbachevsky, head of the Moscow City Government Department for Environmental Management and Protection, said on Thursday.

"International experts from 17 foreign countries visited the previous edition of the forum. This year, one more country will join us, so there will be 18 countries and over 30 Russian regions exactly those people who, at the city level, tackle challenges associated with sustainable development and climate changes' impact on the infrastructure of populated localities [will come]," Kulbachevsky said at a press conference.

He added that the forum's agenda was packed with various events and lectures.

"The second forum will have a busier and a more detailed agenda; it will be very interesting. There will be a lecture program within the framework of the forum, and visitors will be able to attend lectures on eco-friendly construction, green standards, energy saving, environmental education, sustainable development, infrastructure development and planting," Kulbachevsky specified.

Moscow will be hosting the Climate Forum for the second time. The event expects to unite international experts and members of the urban community eager to discuss pending issues regarding the environmental well-being of modern cities. An interactive exhibition dedicated to natural phenomena will be held within the framework of the forum.
