MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 30th August, 2018) An informal two-day meeting of the EU foreign ministers, also known as Gymnich, will begin in the Austrian capital of Vienna on Thursday.
The informal meeting, which is held two times a year by the country presiding over the Council of the European Union, will be chaired by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini. Since the meeting is informal, there will be no official statement about the outcome of the consultations.
According to the official website devoted to Austria's presidency of the Council of the European Union, the meeting will begin with the discussion of developments in the middle East, while the follow-up working session on transatlantic relations will probably provide an occasion for the discussion of such issues as the Iran nuclear deal and North Korea's denuclearization.
