"We acquainted our colleagues with the efforts the Russian Federation is making in contact with relevant regional countries in order to ensure the necessary conditions for the return of refugees and internally displaced persons to their places of residence in Syria," Lavrov said.
"We urge the UN, all its specialized institutions, to play a more active role in creating conditions for such a return of refugees and displaced persons, including modernization, restoration of socio-economic infrastructure," he said.
