MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th August, 2018) Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on Tuesday that he would hold talks with his Japanese counterpart Takeo Mori on Wednesday to discuss the issues of strategic stability and deployment of the US air defense systems in Japan.
"I traveled to Tokyo in July and held a round of strategic stability talks there. Now my colleague has arrived here within the framework of the agreements reached by the foreign and defense ministers during a meeting in the 2 + 2 format ... We will continue discussing the key issues with an emphasis on the problems of our mutual concern related the latest developments in Northeast Asia, including some aspects of the activities of our Japanese counterparts in the area of missile defense," Ryabkov told reporters.
