Hazara Democratic Party parts ways with govt alliance

The party decided to leave the alliance after being ignored in the oath-taking ceremony.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 28th August, 2018) The Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) has decided to part ways with the government.

According to reliable sources, the HDP was a part of two provincial coalition governments. The party has decided to sit in the opposition benches.

Sources said that the party decided to leave the alliance after being ignored in the oath-taking ceremony.

Following elections, leaders of the Awami National Party and HDP had announced their parties’ political alliance with Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) for formation of a coalition government in Balochistan.

Hazara Democratic Party party president Abdul Khaliq Hazara had said that being the majority party in Balochistan it was the right of BAP to make the coalition government in province.

“We have decided to fully support BAP in formation of the coalition government in the province,” Hazara said, adding that BAP leadership had assured HDP leaders of the resolution of all issues of the Hazara community.
