Attorneys General Of 20 US States Secure Injunction Blocking 3D Gun Plan Distribution

WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th August, 2018) A coalition of attorneys general from 20 US states were able to secure a court order to continue blocking the distribution of 3D-printed guns, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra's office said in a press release.

"Washington State-led coalition of 20 Attorneys General... secured a preliminary injunction to continue blocking the [US President Donald] Trump Administration's reckless action to make available blueprints for untraceable so-called "ghost" guns that can be manufactured on a 3-D printer," the release said on Monday.

Becerra was quoted in the release as saying that the Trump administration's move was dangerous.

"Today's ruling should serve as a wake-up call to the Administration: if you continue to sabotage law enforcement's work to keep communities safe, we will hold you accountable," Becerra added.

On August 1, a US Federal judge temporarily blocked publishing on the internet of the blueprints for printing plastic 3D-printed guns in an effort to stop a settlement reached between US President Donald Trump's administration and a Texas-based company.
