Russian Military Distribute Over 500 Food Sets In Syria's Jamla - Reconciliation Center

JAMLA (Syria) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 26th August, 2018) Russian military have conducted a humanitarian operation in the Syrian town of Jamla distributing over 500 food sets to the civilians, the Russian center for Syrian reconciliation said on Sunday.

"We are in the town of Jamla of Deraa province. We have brought here over 500 food sets which include flour, rice and bottled water," Vladimir Laidenov, the head of the center's humanitarian aid group, said.

Laidenov added that the town had been liberated from militants just a month ago and the humanitarian situation remained difficult.

The Russian military actively carry out humanitarian missions in the crisis-torn country. Over 2,000 humanitarian activities, including deliveries of over 3,000 metric tons of food and water, have been conducted by the Russian side in Syria since the start of the mission in 2015.
