Russia Registers Truce Violations In 12 Locations In Syrian Idlib - Defense Ministry

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th August, 2018) Russian ceasefire monitors in Syria have registered numerous ceasefire violations in 12 locations in the idlib de-escalation zone over the past 24 hours, Russias Defense Ministry said late on Saturday.

The truce breaches were also registered in the provinces of Aleppo and Latakia, the ministry added.

According to ministry, in southwestern Syria militants surrendered almost 400 weapons and 1,300 Pounds of ammunition of various types and calibers.

At the same time, over 600 Syrian civilians have left the Idlib de-escalation zone over the past 24 hours via the Abu al-Duhur humanitarian corridor operated by the Russian military,�the Defense Ministry added.

Russian medics have also provided assistance to more than 200 people, including 117 children, over the last 24 hours.

Russia, alongside Iran and Turkey, is a guarantor of the ceasefire regime in Syria. Moscow has also been assisting Damascus both through supporting the struggle against terrorist groups and providing humanitarian aid to the residents of the crisis-torn country.
