MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th August, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Finnish counterpart Sauli Niinisto on his birthday in a phone call, the Kremlin press service said on Friday.
"During phone talks, Russian President Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated the President of the Republic of Finland, Sauli Niinisto, on his 70th birthday. The two leaders expressed the willingness to continue contacts and joint work," the press release read.
The press service noted that the Russian leader had also sent a congratulatory telegram to his Finnish counterpart.
