MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th August, 2018) Russia did not object to holding the Istanbul meeting on Syria, apparently, one should ask Paris and Berlin about reasons for the cancellation, a diplomatic source told Sputnik.
"There were no objections from the Russian side. Apparently, relevant agreements have not been reached with two other participants - Germany and France. Apparently, they had other plans for these dates. It was [cancelled] only because of this, the Russian side did not oppose it. Such a meeting would be useful," the source said.
