US Congressman Hunter, Wife Pleaded Not Guilty To Misusing Campaign Funds - Reports

WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd August, 2018) US Congressman Duncan Hunter and his wife pleaded not guilty to misusing campaign funds on Thursday, US media reported.

ABC news reported that Hunter and his wife Margaret pleaded guilty during their appearance in a Federal courtroom in San Diego, California.

On Tuesday, a grand jury indicted the Hunters on charges of misusing more than $250,000 of campaign funds and filing false campaign finance records.

The couple is accused of using the funds to pay for school tuition, vacations, and other personal expenses.

Hunter is still running for re-election to the US House of Representatives in the November midterm elections despite the charges against him.
