MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd August, 2018) Floods, which followed the recent storms, killed at least 46 people in Laos, regional media reported on Wednesday.
The floods left 97 people missing, the Antara news outlet reported, citing the National Disaster Prevention and Control Committee.
The disaster reportedly affected 14 out of the country's 18 provinces,
In mid-July, heavy rains led to a collapse of a dam in Attapeu province of Laos, bordering Cambodia and Vietnam. Thousands had to be evacuated in neighboring Cambodia.
