KIEV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd August, 2018) Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will visit the United States in September to attend the UN General Assembly, Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly said on Wednesday.
"We will work on political meetings ... We are preparing a visit of the Ukrainian president to United States, to the General Assembly in September," the diplomat said, as quoted by the Pryamiy broadcaster.
On Tuesday, Chaly said that US National Security Adviser John Bolton was expected to meet with Poroshenko on Ukraine's Independence Day, celebrated on August 24.
On Friday, Ukraine celebrates the 27th anniversary of the country's independence, during which Kiev will host a military parade.
