MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd August, 2018) Colombia sent a note of protest to the government of Venezuela in connection with the two military helicopters allegedly incurring into Colombian airspace, the country's Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.
According to the statement, two helicopters of the Venezuelan armed forces incurred into Colombian airspace on August 19.
"The Foreign Ministry, by virtue of the report on the events that provided evidence that an unauthorized military incursion in the national territory took place, presented a note expressing the strongest protest against the aforementioned facts to the Venezuelan Embassy," the statement says.
The ministry added it issued a note on instructions from the Colombian President Ivan Duque Marquez.
