The US Superior Court of the District of Columbia has dismissed a libel lawsuit filed by three Russian businessmen - Mikhail Firdman, Petr Aven and German Khan - against Christopher Steele, the former intelligence officer who authored a controversial dossier on President Donald Trump, a court order said on Tuesday.

WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st August, 2018) The US Superior Court of the District of Columbia has dismissed a libel lawsuit filed by three Russian businessmen - Mikhail Firdman, Petr Aven and German Khan - against Christopher Steele, the former intelligence officer who authored a controversial dossier on President Donald Trump, a court order said on Tuesday.

"The Court grants the special motion to dismiss filed by defendants Ornis business Intelligence Limited and Christopher Steele," the order said. "The Court therefore denies as moot Defendants' motion to dismiss under Rule 12 (b) (6) for failure to state a claim upon which relief can be granted."
