Eid-ul-Adha to be celebrated with religious fervor on Wednesday

The citizens of Hyderabad will celebrate Eid-ul-Adha with traditional zeal and religious fervor from Wednesday (Aug 22).

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Aug, 2018 ) :The citizens of Hyderabad will celebrate Eid-ul-Adha with traditional zeal and religious fervor from Wednesday (Aug 22).

The preparations for celebrating the Eid have almost been completed however, rush in cattle markets remained high for purchase of sacrificial animals. The citizens who wanted to the follow Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) have no choice except to purchase sacrificial animals at high prices.

The worshipers will proceed to around 285 Eidgahs, Jamia Masajid and open places to offer Eid prayers. The main Eid congregation will be held at main Eidgah Rani Baag, old Eidgah Cantonment, Masjid Abul Fazal Abbas Qadamgah Moula Ali, Masjid Dargah Sakhi Wahab Shah Jilani, Police Headquarter Ground, Baag-e-Mustafa Ground Latifabad, Aisha Park Latifabad, Bilal Masjid Amani Shah Colony and Eidgah Paretabad.

The Ulema and Khatibs in their sermons would highlight the significance of the day particularly the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS). Special prayers for integrity, solidarity, progress and prosperity of the country would also be offered after Eid Namaz.

After exchange of Eid greetings, the sacrifices of animals would be started with distribution of meat among relatives, friends, poor and orphans which will continue for next two days.

The Mayor Hyderabad and the district administration have adopted various arrangements with binding of civic bodies to ensure health and sanitation during Eid days with lifting offal of sacrificial animals in time from roads and streets, ensure uninterrupted water supply with adequate drainage system so that the people could not face any inconvenience in performing sacrifice.

The District Police had also adopted foolproof security measures with deployment of 2500 Policemen and 200 Police Commandos in various parts of Hyderabad City, Latifabad, Qasimabad and Hyderabad Rural Talukas of the district with installations of CCTV cameras and walkthrough gates at Eidgahs and Imambargahs.

The local newspapers will also bring out special Eid supplements highlighting the significance ofthe day while radio and television channels will also broadcast and telecast special Eid programmes.
