Angola will support Russia on the international stage, and defense industry cooperation between the two countries will continue enhancing, Angola's Secretary of State for National Defense Gaspar Santos Rufino said on Tuesday.
KUBINKA (Moscow Region) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 21st August, 2018) Angola will support Russia on the international stage, and defense industry cooperation between the two countries will continue enhancing, Angola's Secretary of State for National Defense Gaspar Santos Rufino said on Tuesday.
"Our defense industry cooperation will continue developing," Rufino said during his meeting with Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin.
He added that although Angola was not a "big country in the sense of economy and politics yet," it was still important for its region.
"We could also support Russia in the international context, regarding certain issues. We always voice support for many Russian initiatives and decisions. And we are interested in Russia becoming stronger in order to support balance in the world," Rufino added.
Fomin praised Angola for being a reliable partner and said that he welcomed enhancing bilateral military and defense industry cooperation.
According to Russian Foreign Ministry, the two countries cooperate in numerous areas, including trade, science, economy and education.
