MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st August, 2018) Moroccos King Mohammed on Monday appointed Mohamed Benchaaboun as a new finance minister, local media reported.
Benchaaboun offered his oath to the monarch, MAP news agency reported, citing the official statement of the king's office.
According to media reports, the new minister's candidacy was suggested by the head of the government, Saadeddine Othmani.
On August 1, the king fired previous minister Mohamed Boussaid, several days after urging the government to do more to resolve economic and social issues.
