A total of 63 refugees have returned from Lebanon to Syria over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Refugee Reception, Distribution and Settlement said Monday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st August, 2018) A total of 63 refugees have returned from Lebanon to Syria over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Refugee Reception, Distribution and Settlement said Monday.

"Over the past 24 hours, 63 refugees left Lebanon for Syria via the Jaydet-Yabus and al-Dabusya checkpoints, including 19 women and 32 children," the center said in its bulletin.

A total of 7,406 refugees have returned from Lebanon to Syria since July 18, 2018, while 318 people have passed via the Nassib checkpoint from Jordan, the center added.

The Kadyrov Regional Public Fund has also carried out three humanitarian operations by distributing a tonne of bread and 100 sets of clothes in Idlib province, and also delivering 400 sets of children's clothing to the town of Sahnaya in Damascus province.

Russia is actively helping Syria achieve nationwide peace. As part of its efforts, the Russian military announced in late July the creation of a refugee center in Syria that would receive, relocate and accommodate civilians who are returning from neighboring states.
