Officers Of Public Companies Ordered To Return Addl Salaries

The Supreme Court on Monday ordered officers of public companies in Punjab to return additional salaries within three months.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Aug, 2018 ) :The Supreme Court on Monday ordered officers of public companies in Punjab to return additional salaries within three months.
The three member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar passed the orders while hearing a suo motu notice regarding huge salary structure of officers of public companies in Punjab.
At the outset of the proceedings, a NAB prosecutor submitted a report regarding officers who had withdrawn more then Rs 300,000 as salary.
He submitted that 58 officers received a total of Rs 520 million as salaries. However, 34 officers intend to pay the additional salaries in installments, he added.
At this, the chief justice observed that more time could not be given for return of additional salaries. No one would return a single paisa after my retirement, he added. He further observed that the matter could be disposed of to the extent of salaries, adding that if misuse of power surfaced then theNAB would look into it.
