MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 20th August, 2018) Decision on deployment of UN troops in the Gaza Strip should be adopted by the UN Security Council (UNSC) and requires endorsement of both sides, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said on Monday.
"It depends on the consent of the parties to the conflict - the Palestinians, the Israelis. If both sides express such a desire, the relevant decision should be taken by the UN Security Council," Bogdanov told reporters.
