MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 20th August, 2018) Pilots from Jordan will fly Russia's Su-30 and Su-34 fighter jets during demonstration missions at the defense industry forum Army 2018, Dmitry Shugaev, the director of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, told Sputnik on Monday.

"Long before the forum, we began to receive requests from foreign delegations to get acquainted with the capabilities of this or that military equipment within the upcoming forum. In particular, it is planned to hold several demonstration missions engaging Su-30 and Su-34 fighter jets with the participation of foreign pilots, in particular, from Jordan," Shugaev said.

He also revealed that the August 1st aerobatic team of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force would for the first time perform a demonstration flight within the forum's framework.

Shugaev also said that he expected Russia's Buk-M3 and Tor-E2 surface-to-air missile systems to draw special attention of the forum's foreign visitors.

"I have no doubts that during the forum we will receive many questions about these air defense systems in the best sense of the word," Shugaev said.

Tor-E2 surface-to-air missile system can be used to protect military and other important facilities from the strikes of the entire air-supported threat spectrum and is capable of destroying planes, helicopters, cruise, antiradar and other guided missiles. Buk-M3 is another system of the Buk family, which is distinguished by increased firing range of up to 65 kilometers (40.3 miles).

The Army 2018 forum will be held in the Patriot exhibition center in Kubinka, the Moscow Region, on August 21-26.
