Samsung, LG Among Most Popular Brands In Indonesia: Campaign Asia

SEOUL, Aug. 19 (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Aug, 2018 ) :Samsung Electronics Co. and LG Electronics Inc. were included on the list of the most popular brands in Indonesia, a report released by marketing agency Campaign Asia showed Friday.
According to a review of Indonesia's top 100 brands for 2018 released by the organization, samsung Electronics took the No. 1 spot, with its smaller South Korean rival LG Electronics also standing in third place.
From a year earlier, Samsung maintained its top standing, with LG moving up one notch to outpace U.S. tech giant Apple Inc.
Japan's Panasonic Corp. took the second spot, with Apple coming in fourth and Switzerland-based confectionery firm Nestle S.
A. fifth.
The other major brands in the top 10 list were Google, Sony, Nike, Pizza Hut and Philips.
"From phones to tablets and televisions to white goods, Samsung has effortlessly embedded itself in the daily lives of the population," Campaign Asia said in its report on Indonesia.
"With such a high market share in high-involvement categories, it's no surprise that the Korean behemoth sits atop the top 100 list in Indonesia. The brand has ingrained itself so deeply into the psyche of Indonesian consumers that they almost think of it as a homegrown brand," it added.
Samsung also topped Campaign Asia's report on brand popularity among consumers from 14 Asian countries, with LG in the sixth spot.
