Special Squads To Check Overloading, Overcharging

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Aug, 2018 ) :City Traffic Police (CTP) have constituted special squads to check overloading and overcharging in public transport during Eidul Azha days.

CTP spokesman said here Sunday that more than 850 traffic wardens and 35 traffic inspectors had been deputed for regulating vehicular traffic, besides taking prompt action against overloading and overcharging as well as violation of traffic rules.

He said that 4 DSPs had also been deployed to monitor the traffic duty, whereas special squad on motorcycles would remain busy in patrolling on roads and take strict action against law violators as well as wheelies, underage drivers, rash driving and driving bikes without silencers.

Transporters have already been warned that their vehicles along with drivers would be impounded for 72 hours besides imposing heavyfines without any discrimination, if they were found involved in overloading or overcharging during Eid days, he added.
