Livestock Set Up Five Sale Points For Sacrificial Animals

SARGODHA, Aug 15 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Aug, 2018 ) ::The Livestock and Dairy Development department is ensuring all facilities at newly set up sale points for sale of sacrificial animals on the eve of Eidul Azha.
Deputy Director Livestock Dr Tanveer told APP here Wednesday that total five sale points had been established across the district including one private sale point at Jhang Morh Canal Bridge.
The livestock department has also established four sale points at water supply road, Johar colony, Tahli chowk and Old Patha mandi where livestock teams were present round the clock.
He stated that special squads have also been formulated for checking of animals in these markets while Veterinary mobile van was also ensuring surveillance of animals in rural and urban areas.
The livestock official said special teams were also available here at all entry and exit points where anti-tick spray was being ensured to avoid Congo virus affects while stickers were being dispatched at vehicles.
He added that butchers have also been given trainings for proper care of animals' skin while urged masses to preserve skin after using salt and also keep away from sunlight, rain and avoid packing in shopper bags.
The livestock has also imposed a ban on the sale of animals beyond markets so that proper checking of animals could be made at allocated points, he said and added that pregnancy tests of animals were also being conducted at all sale points.
