Imran Khan As Prime Minister-elect Widely Hailed

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Aug, 2018 ) :Politicians, business leaders and people from all walks of life on Friday congratulated Imran Khan on winning Prime Minister's slot and hoped that the country would soon be on path to economic revival.
"The newly elected Leader of the House has the capability to resolve the challenges faced by the country," they opined.
PTI leaders Abdul Aleem Khan, Mian Mehmoodur Rashid, Aslam Iqbal extended their heartfelt felicitations to Imran Khan and said, his utterances in National Assembly regarding recovery of looted national wealth were commendable.
The newly elected Premier beat his competitor PML-N's Shehbaz Sharif by receiving a total of 176 votes.
Citizens Protection Committee Chairman Touqir Ahmed felicitating Prime Minister-elect Imran Khan said his (Imran)'s historic victory had not only raised Pakistan's stature in the comity of nations but also gave impetus to economic turnaround.
Anjuman Tajiran Shahalmi, General Secretary Kashif Bashir said business community believed that Imran Khan would introduce new economic policies in consultation with private sector that was main stakeholder in the country's economy.
A labour union leader Muhammad Yasin expressed the optimism that foreign investment would pour to Pakistan while country's economic relations with outer world in general and regional countries in particular would further strengthen.
