Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) President Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif Friday said the PML-N would made every sacrifice to strengthen democracy in and outside the Parliament.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Aug, 2018 ) :Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) President Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif Friday said the PML-N would made every sacrifice to strengthen democracy in and outside the Parliament.
Talking to media persons outside the Parliament, he said continuity of the democracy was pivotal for development and stability of the country and all-out efforts would be made to protect the sanctity and dignity of the Parliament.
He said the PML-N and other political parties of the opposition had demanded to form a independent Parliamentary Commission to investigate rigging allegations in the recently held polls and its findings should be presented in the Parliament.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the PML-N, being major opposition party in the Parliament, would play its due role with full responsibility as it would avoid doing politics of agitation in the House and would not create hurdles in execution of public welfare projects in the country.
He alleged that Election Commission had failed in conducting free, fair and transparent elections. A large number of votes were rejected, he added.
The PML-N President also raised reservations on Results Transmission System (RTS) of the Election Commission during general elections which caused slowing announcement of the results.
