MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 17th August, 2018) A landmine exploded in the southern Syrian province of Daraa, leaving two civilians injured, local media reported on Friday.
The incident occurred in al-Naziheen camp on Thursday and caused significant material damage, the SANA news agency reported.
Those injured were later transported to a nearby hospital to be treated.
Syria has been engulfed in a civil war since 2011 with the government forces fighting a number of opposition groups and terrorist organizations. The Syrian government troops are currently conducting a major operation against opposition forces in the southwestern provinces of the country, including Daraa.
