MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 17th August, 2018) Moscow's Tretyakov Gallery will organize an art exhibit entitled "Russian path: from Dionisius to Malevich" in the Vatican and one called "Masterpieces of Russian art from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery and other Russian museums" in four Japanese cities this fall, the gallerys director said on Friday.

"We are planning projects abroad, the main exhibit of this fall season is Russian path: from Dionisius to Malevich. It will open on November 19 at the Vatican Museums. This is a response to the brilliant exhibit from the collection of the Pinacoteca Vaticana, a highlight of [the Tretyakov Gallery] fall season in 2016-2017. [The exhibit in the Vatican] will feature the best pieces from the permanent collection of the Tretyakov Gallery," Zelfira Tregulova told reporters.

The other exhibit "Masterpieces of Russian art from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery and other Russian museums" will open at Bunkamura museum in Tokyo as well as three other Japanese cities within framework of Russia-Japan cross-cultural years, according to the director.

The Tretyakov Gallery, founded in 1856, is one of biggest museums of Russian fine art in the world.
