The wedding of Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, which will be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, will be held at the Gasthaus Tscheppe restaurant, located in the Austrian southern Styria state, local media reported on Friday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 17th August, 2018) The wedding of Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, which will be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, will be held at the Gasthaus Tscheppe restaurant, located in the Austrian southern Styria state, local media reported on Friday.

The wedding will be held on Saturday.

Kneissl and her fiance, businessman Wolfgang Meilinger, will arrive at the restaurant, located in the Gamlitz municipality, from the local Gasthof Wratschko hotel, the Kurier daily reported.

The hotels owner Johann Wratschko refused to comment on this information, the outlet added.

Security has been boosted at the restaurant where the wedding will take place, with German and Russian security personnel preparing the site for the event, the newspaper pointed out, citing the restaurants chef, Heinz Preschan.

The chef said that the wedding dinner would be served for 100 people.

According to the chef, the restaurant will offer fresh fish and meat to the guests, while the bride will enjoy a vegetarian dish. Moreover, Styrias specialties will also be served during the dinner.

"I hope that I will not put too much salt in the dishes. And I would like to take a selfie with Putin," Preschan said.

The chef said that he focused on the preferences of Kneissl and Meilinger when drafting the dinner menu and did not think of a special menu for Putin.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that Putin was invited to Kneisls wedding during his latest visit to Vienna on June 5. The spokesman noted that the Russian president would visit the wedding on his way to Germany, where he was scheduled to hold talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel.
