Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 17 Aug 2018

Three ships, GSL Tianjin,Maritime Riyal and LNG Simalsma carrying Containers. Palm oil and LNG took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal' Engro Elengy Terminal respectively on Thursday.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Aug, 2018 ) :Three ships, GSL Tianjin,Maritime Riyal and LNG Simalsma carrying Containers. Palm oil and LNG took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal' Engro Elengy Terminal respectively on Thursday.

Meanwhile two more ships Qingdao Tower and Miranda with Containers and Chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Part Qasim during last 24 hours.

A total of eight ships namely, GSL Tianjin, HS Tosco, Dora, Maud, RB Leah, Maritime Riyal, Mega-I and LNG Simalsma are currently occupying PQA berth to load/offload Containers, Condensate, Coal, Soya been, Palm oil and LNG respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood 208,363 tonnes, comprising 173,547 tonnes import cargo and 34,816 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,400 Containers (TEUs), (1,600 TEUs imports and 800 TEUs exports) was handled to port.

M.T Mega-I sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while four more ships HS Tosco, GSL Tianjin, Maud and Qingdao Tower are expected to sail on some day in the afternoon.

Five ships. APL Minnesota, Safmarine Nyassa, Qingdao Tower, YM Miranda and Maran Gas Efessos carrying Containers, Chemicals and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-1 and PGPCL respectively on Friday. While two more container ships Libra and Cape Mayor are due toarrive at Port Qasim on Saturday.
