Shehbaz Sharif declares PM election as ‘fixed’

Says the numbers are complete and he will score a century.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 17th August, 2018) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) president and prime minister nominee Shehbaz Sharif has declared the election of prime minister as ‘fixed’.

He said that the numbers are complete and he will score a century.

About Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) parting ways with the PMLN, he referred the matter to PPP.

Asked if PPP and Asif Ali Zardari will vote for him, he said ask PPP about this.

The election for the leader of the House in National Assembly will be held today at 3pm.

Imran Khan and Shahbaz Sharif had on Wednesday submitted the nomination papers for the office of the Leader of the House which were accepted by National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser on Thursday.

The election of the Prime Minister will be held through division as enshrined in the rules of procedures and conduct of the National Assembly 2007.

The PTI emerged as the single largest party in the National Assembly with 116 general seats while with the addition of the general and reserved seats of its allies the party claimed to have secured at least 173 seats.

PTI chairman Imran Khan, who has secured a simple majority in the polls required to form his government, is likely to be elected as the prime minister and is set to take the oath on August 18.
