SMEDA Establishes RBC Office To Facilitate Visiting SMEs

Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) established Regional Business Coordination (RBC) Office at at Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) to facilitate visiting SMEs to the trade body, said a press release issued here Thursday.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Aug, 2018 ) :Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) established Regional Business Coordination (RBC) Office at at Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) to facilitate visiting SMEs to the trade body, said a press release issued here Thursday.
The office was inaugurated by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) SMEDA, Sher Ayub Khan in a simple but impressive ceremony. Besides, President, SCCI, Zahidullah Khan Shinwari, General Manager Out-Reach (GMOR) SMEDA, Senior Manager, Rashid Aman and a large number of the representatives of traders and industrialists were also present.
On this occasion, GMOR/Provincial Chief SMEDA, Javed Khattak briefed the office bearers of SCCI regarding public sector development program (PSDP) funded projects initiated under the auspices of the authority.
He particularly told in detail about the Honey Processing & Packaging and textile CFCs and ongoing Fruit Dehyderation Unit at Mingora, Swat and Economic Revitalization of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA (ERKF) Project.
The CEO SMEDA spoke about the overall activities of SMEDA.
He said that SMEDA would try its level best to work according to its mandate and objectives. He exchanged views with Zahid ullah Shinwari about the upcoming projects for SME development.
The business community appreciated the projects initiated under supervision of SMEDA for the development of various sectors in the province.
Later, Sher Ayub Khan, the CEO, SMEDA, inaugurates the Regional Business Centre (RBC) for the facilitation of visiting SMEs to the chamber.
Rashid Aman highlighted the role of RBC at Chamber and said the he would facilitate the visiting SMEs by providing them required information.
Speaking on the occasion, President SCCI, Zahidullah Khan Shinwari appreciated SMEDA's efforts, saying that the organization has been playing key role in facilitation of SMEs.
He lauded the ERKF project and said the initiative provided an opportunity to hundred of SMEs to rehabilitate their businesses. He appreciated the capacity building component of the project and said SMEs should be trained to meet the international standards.
