Hassan Hayat Khan Becomes The Peace Ambassador Between Pakistan and India

Given the current strained Indo-Pak socio-political tensions, it’s almost unheard of that an Indian company in this milieu might pick up a solo Pakistani musical artist and unstintingly promote him globally

Karachi: (Pakistan Point News - 16th Aug, 2018 ) Given the current strained Indo-Pak socio-political tensions, it’s almost unheard of that an Indian company in this milieu might pick up a solo Pakistani musical artist and unstintingly promote him globally. But that is the unequivocally rare yet positive alliance developed between Indian company T-Series and talented Pakistani singer and music producer Hassan Hayat Khan. T-Series, the Indian film music and production company founded by Gulshan Kumar in the 1980s and primarily known for Bollywoodmusic soundtracks, globally released Hayat Khan’s love ballad ‘Bol Do’ on August 15, 2018on myriad electronic and social media platforms, making Hassan Hayat Khan the only solo Pakistani artist to have thus been promoted ever in the history on India’s Independence Day.

The exclusive collaborative union might have a lot to do with the ingenious mash-up hash-tagged #Enna Sona’ - a uniquely seamless compilation of Indian singer Arjit Singh’s three most popular recent hits, including the title song ‘Enna Sona’ - released by Hayat Khan in April, 2018 which showcased his versatility as a singer and an original music producer. The mash-up video unsurprisingly earned 1,000,000 views within two weeks of its release on social media.

The music video of the soul-searching love ballad ‘Bol Do’ directed by popular tv Commercial Director / Producer Haris Qadeer who has worked with such celebrities as Fahad Mustafa and Maya Ali is Hayat Khan’s second video of the year after ‘Enna Sona’but his first original song of 2018. Picturesquely shot in Turkey and London, ‘Bol Do’ has the debonair Hayat Khan in a casual-chic avatar singing and soul-searching in a meditatively mellifluous baritone.

Says Hayat Khan about the inspiration behind the ballad: “The whole idea while I was penning the song was that I was compelled to quixotically write and sing about a memory that had never transpired, although I wanted it to happen. And even though it didn’t, I could imagine and still want to sing about it.” ‘Bol Do’ is released worldwide onAugust 15, 2018 by T-Series.
