Voting To Elect Punjab Assembly's Speaker And Deputy Speaker Ongoing

The voting process to elect Punjab Assembly's Speaker and Deputy Speaker was ongoing in the provincial assembly

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Aug, 2018 ) :The voting process to elect Punjab Assembly's Speaker and Deputy Speaker was ongoing in the provincial assembly.

The assembly proceeding started at 11:06 am with recitation from the Holy Quran and Naat-e-Rasool Maqbool (PBUH) with outgoing Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan in the chair.

First vote was cast by Member Punjab Assembly (MPA) Syed Yawar Abbass.

It is pertinent to mention here that PTI had nominated Chaudhry Pervez Elahi as Speaker and Dost Muhammad Mazari as Deputy Speaker,while PML-N had nominated Chaudhry Iqbal Gujjar and Malik Muhammad Waris Kallu as Speaker and Deputy Speaker respectively.
