Federal Capital's Civic Issues Need Attention: ICC

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Aug, 2018 ) :Islamabad Citizens Committee (ICC) welcomed the newly elected government in-waiting, hoping it will pay special attention for upgrading the living conditions of the locals.
In a meeting held here Thursday, the Committee wished the new government all the success. It asserted that the government should try its best to fulfill their promises as given in its manifesto, ensuring a better future of the people.
It pledged to extend full support to the new government, hoping it would give top priority to addressing the grievances of the residents of the Federal capital.
The Islamabad Citizens Committee held its special session to commemorate Pakistan's 71st Independence Day.
The meeting was presided over by Haji Dawood Khoker, General Secretary ICC.
Those who addressed the meeting included former Director General Associated Press of Pakistan, M. Aftab and senior ICC's senior member Syed Muhammd Saddiq Hasan.
The speakers paid tributes to Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his close associates for their untiring efforts to win freedom for the Muslims of the sub continent.
They lauded the participation of the students of Aligarh Muslim University and their support to the freedom struggle.
The services of late Shakir Hasan, ex-President of the committee were also lauded in the meeting, noting he had made great contribution towards the development of Islamabad and in establishment of independent Islamabad Capital Territory Administration.
