Punjab Police To Be Apolitical

Designate Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar has said that the police would be empowered without any political role under the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) Government.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Aug, 2018 ) :Designate Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar has said that the police would be empowered without any political role under the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) Government.
Addressing a ceremony at a local hotel here on Wednesday, he said PTI government would accord honour to the police while the police will be made to respect the masses.
Ch Sarwar said regular check and balance of the police stations will be conducted.
He said eradication of corruption was a must for prosperity, a country could never progress if injustice was not wiped out. He said corruption was eating away the very fabric of society like termite.
Sarwar said money and nepotism were rule of the day unfortunately in the country, adding that the PTI government would cut down expenditures.
The PTI leader said the PTI government would ensure supremacy of law and the constitution, claiming the party would ensure accountability of the corrupt within the party folds.
He said the only priority of his life was the provision of justice, adding it was a matter of pride for him that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had chosen him to be the governor of the largest province of the country.
Ch Sarwar PTI government would never misuse authority and make the country Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah's Pakistan under the dynamic leadership of Imran Khan.
He said PTI will overcome unemployment in the country.
