Heavy torrential rain followed by thunderstorm on Wednesday disrupts life and affecting electricity transmission system in the area.
Haripur, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Aug, 2018 ) :Heavy torrential rain followed by thunderstorm on Wednesday disrupts life and affecting electricity transmission system in the area.
Two days of continuous heavy rain triggered a flash flood which entered in residential areas and slums near railway station destroying households and electronics worth millions of rupees.
Owing to the fallen trees by the thunderstorm traffic in the Haripur city also chocked for hours. After heavy rain streams and nullahs of the district Haripur were flooded causing serious damage to houses in environs of the city. Many links roads also disconnected by flash flood and electricity of some areas could not be restored despite hectic efforts.
