Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping may hold talks not only in Vladivostok but also on the sidelines of international events scheduled for the end of the year, Chinese Communist Party Political Bureau member Yang Jiechi said Wednesday.
SOCHI (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th August, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping may hold talks not only in Vladivostok but also on the sidelines of international events scheduled for the end of the year, Chinese Communist Party Political Bureau member Yang Jiechi said Wednesday.
"Chairman Xi Jinping will attend the upcoming Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, and another top-level meeting between the two leaders will be held... By the end of this year, there are also a number of other opportunities for bilateral summits on the sidelines of multilateral events. It is important for us to properly prepare for these meetings," Yang said.
He said he invited Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev to attend a regular round of strategic security consultations.
