Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and EU Ambassador to Russia Markus Ederer discussed in Moscow on Wednesday a wide range of regional and global security issues as well as the situation in Syria, the Defense Ministry said.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th August, 2018) Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and EU Ambassador to Russia Markus Ederer discussed in Moscow on Wednesday a wide range of regional and global security issues as well as the situation in Syria, the Defense Ministry said.
"The agenda of the meeting included pressing issues of regional and global security. The sides discussed, in particular, the European security and the experience of Russia-EU military cooperation," the ministry said in a statement.
According to the document, Fomin informed Ederer about the recent developments in Syria, emphasizing the importance of safe return of Syrian refugees to their homes from abroad including from the European countries.
