Teams from 13 countries to compete in road cycling race in Minsk on 18-19 August

Minsk Cup and Minsk Grand Prix of the international road cycling race series 2018 UCI Europe Tour will gather 23 teams from 13 countries in Minsk on 18-19 August, BelTA learned from Aleksei Ivanov, General Manager of the cycling club Minsk, on 14 August.

MINSK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Aug, 2018 ) :Minsk Cup and Minsk Grand Prix of the international road cycling race series 2018 UCI Europe Tour will gather 23 teams from 13 countries in Minsk on 18-19 August, BelTA learned from Aleksei Ivanov, General Manager of the cycling club Minsk, on 14 August.

Over 160 racers from Belarus, Russia, Baltic states, Ukraine, Poland, and other countries will compete in the event. The territory near the shopping and entertainment center Galleria Minsk will provide the start and finish lines. The racers will have to ride for five laps around the Zaslavskoye reservoir on 18 August and ten laps along Pobeditelei Avenue on 19 August.

?It will be an interesting race. Strong teams will be present, including the Polish team for the first time. An interesting entertainment program for spectators has been prepared.

A veteran cycling race will be arranged and the contest VeloMiss 2018. Alexander Solodukha, Ruslan Alekhno, and other performers will perform on the stage,? said Aleksei Ivanov.

In his words, the race is important from the point of view of preparations for the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019. Minsk Cup and Minsk Grand Prix are part of the 2018 UCI Europe Tour series and are on the Calendar of the International Cycling Union. The teams will get a score, which influences their standing at the world cup later on.

The competitions have been organized by the cycling club Minsk with assistance of the Minsk city administration, the Minsk Oblast administration, the Belarusian sports and Tourism Ministry, the Belarusian Cycling Federation, and the National Olympic Committee of Belarus.
