Motorway Police Make Special Arrangements For Independence Day

On the directions of Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, special arrangements were made in Islamabad, Murree, Lahore, Karachi, Gawadar, Quetta and other parts of the country where motorway police operate to celebrate the Independence Day.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Aug, 2018 ) :On the directions of Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, special arrangements were made in Islamabad, Murree, Lahore, Karachi, Gawadar, Quetta and other parts of the country where motorway police operate to celebrate the Independence Day.
The activities included flag hoisting ceremonies at all offices of the NH&MP, raising of national flags on all official vehicles, establishment of road safety stalls at toll plazas, distribution of national flags and gifts among road users and organization of special events.
IG NH&MP Aamir Zulfiqar Khan hoisted the national flag at NH&MP Babu Sabu Office here on Tuesday, prayed for peace and prosperity of the country and cut Independence Day cake.
DIG Headquarters Raja Riffat Mukhtar, DIG Central Ahmad Arslan Malik, SSP Central-I Masroor Aalam Kolachi, SSP North-III Salman Ahmad Khan, SSP Hashmat Kamal and large number of NH&MP officers/officials were also present.
In order to commemorate the Independence Day, a very special road safety activity was organised by the NH&MP here in DHA.
In which, special road safety stalls were set up besides distributing awareness material among people.
The NH&MP patrolling vehicles were also decorated to attract the public. National songs were sung and road safety quiz programmes were organised in presence of IG NH&MP Aamir Zulfiqar Khan.
The IG distributed NH&MP gift hampers and safety helmets among the public.
Face painting, jumping castle, Independence Day printed shirts, painting and quiz competitions were also arranged by the NH&MP.
Similarly, a special road safety stall was also arranged at Packages Mall to celebrate the day with public and disseminate road safety message.
Earlier, the IG NH&MP went to Shuakat Khanam Hospital where he distributed gift hampers among the patients of cancer especially children. The national flag was also hoisted by IGP Aamir Zulfiqar Khan with patient children.
Separately, IGP Aamir Zulfiqar Khan also visited Sundas Foundation to show solidarity with children of thalassemia.
The IG inquired about health of children, distributed gift hampers among them and cut the Independence Day cake.
Anchor person Suhail Wariach, ex Punjab Health Minister Khawaj Salman Rafiq and senior officers of Motorway police were also present.
