President Donald Trump's presidential campaign is taking legal action against former White House Adviser Omarosa Manigault Newman for breaching a nondisclosure agreement, US media reported.
WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th August, 2018) President Donald Trump's presidential campaign is taking legal action against former White House Adviser Omarosa Manigault Newman for breaching a nondisclosure agreement, US media reported.
A Trump campaign official told CNBC that Trump's 2020 reelection campaign filed the arbitration in New York City on Tuesday.
The official said Manigault Newman violated a confidentiality agreement she signed with the campaign in 2016 when she released recordings of former campaign staffers, the report said.
Manigault Newman released a tape on Tuesday which appears to contain a conversation between Trump's former campaign spokesperson Katrina Pierson and Housing and Urban Development Department Administrator Lynne Patton discussing how to handle Trump's use of a racial slur.
Over the past few days, Manigualt Newman has released several other recordings she made while working in the White House as part of a television publicity tour for her book, which hit store shelves on Tuesday.
Trump went after his former aide on Twitter on Tuesday morning with a message that called her a "crazed, crying, lowlife," and praised his chief of staff John Kelly for "quickly firing that dog!"
