Candidates Files Nominations For Speaker, Deputy Speaker KP PA

The candidates of PTI and opposition alliance filed nominations for the offices of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly here Tuesday.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Aug, 2018 ) :The candidates of PTI and opposition alliance filed nominations for the offices of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly here Tuesday.
PTI has nominated Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani for the office of Speaker while Mahmood Jan for the Deputy Speaker.
Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani is PTI MPA from the provincial assembly constituency PK-39, Abbottabad-IV while Mahmood Jan has been elected from PK-66, Peshawar-I.
The opposition alliance comprising of ANP, JUI-F, PML-N and PPP had fielded Laiq Mohammad Khan, an ANP MPA from PK-35, Torghar and Jamshid Khan Mohmand, a PML-N MPA elected from PK-55, Mardan-VIII.
All candidates had submitted their nominations, which have been accepted by the Assembly Secretariat.
Polling for the offices of Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be held tomorrow in the provincial assembly.
Speaking on the occasion of filing nominations, the PTI candidate for the office of Speaker KP assembly, Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani said that they are making efforts for unopposed elections on the offices of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the house.
He said that process for the formation of government for New Pakistan has begun vowed to work for the provincial rights and resolution of problems as per expectations of the people.
